She previously served as a Congressional Caseworker, Field Representative, and Press Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives, where she played a pivotal role in guiding small businesses through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ashleigh led efforts to secure millions of dollars in PPP and EIDL loans for local businesses, helping to sustain them in their time of greatest need. Her expertise also extends to navigating agencies like the IRS, Social Security, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, making her well-versed in resolving complex regulatory issues.
In addition to her government experience, Ashleigh successfully owned and operated a small business in San Diego, providing watersports services and overseeing all aspects of operations, including compliance with regulatory requirements. This hands-on experience allows her to understand the challenges businesses face and effectively advocate for pro-business policies.
A San Diego native, Ashleigh holds a degree in psychology from CSU San Marcos. She is also active in the community, serving as President of a local advocacy group and as a member of the San Diego Lincoln Club, where she supports policies that foster business growth and economic development.
Beyond her professional work, Ashleigh is involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, advocating for research and support services for those affected by the disease. Her involvement is personal—her husband, an Army veteran, has been diagnosed with MS, and this has driven her passion to raise awareness and advocate for resources for families impacted by the condition. When she’s not working or volunteering, you can often find Ashleigh enjoying San Diego’s waters, paddling her paddleboard or OC-1, or spending time with her three dogs.
